T00OO much

Natural Science can be a nice subject. Lots of things to learn and you get to know a critical view on many other things; like pseudo-environmentalism in politics or pseudo-rationalism in environmentalism.  The point in this for me right know is, that knowledge seems to me like a heavy depressing load on my mind. I´d like to shut down my brains when leaving university, in mind just a nice girl and a good meal.

Microcosm

Microcosm…i guess, that’s what I’m gonna worry about this term. Two different Profs made it a centerpoint of their first lectures. Soooo, welcome you little particles, thingies and muons.

“For me, physics is everywhere”

The first day of the fresh semester wasn´t much to do but to survive some instructions for the oncoming practical courses. It ended in a lab, where a cool Doc told us….um, no…was supposed to tell us about our projects.

What he actually said was like the following:

“Hmm, laser…theres nothing special about it, just a lamp. Look, here´s one, there´s another…. —- And piezos, it´s like bread, you use it every day, a common thing. If you know something about it, you may be able to do a lot of things. It´s like every other thing here, y´know I see physics all around myself”

————————————–

This gave me a good start to the new semester. (:

Free-time, what’s that?

Exams are over, the sun is shining and anybody else is enjoying their easter-holidays.

BUT I’m sittin’ in my room, wondering what to do.. — Spending my time at civil-service a few years ago, i got to know some people, which visited a course “How to spend spare time”, guess that’s exactly what I’d need right now :) Kind of strange, how studies are changing myself.

Taliclown Murat K.

He wanted to go to Pakistan, “to attend a Quran-school”. That was 2001, but somehow the U.S. got hold of him and had him tortured in Guantanamo. Now he´s whining about why Germany didn´t care to get him out of there as fast as possible (even though he actually is a Turkish citizen!?). Now while government has to deal with the legal issues, german public´s got its very own way of paying attention to him^^

The following clip shows a parade during Cologne-carnival…

What do you think about Euler angles ?

Time and again study requires me dealing with things, which aren´t part of everyday life at all; which is a shame, cause I´d really like to talk more about the practical use of the Lenz-Runge-Laplace-vector or the Lagrangian of a free relativistic particle. Some might say, if no one´s talking about these things, they´ve got apparently no use. On the other side, some geeks are pursuing the study of the upper since quite a few (hundred) years :)
What do YOU think about funny formulas like the upper one?

Hello World,

I´m pretty sure, you’ve been awaiting me for quite a while.

From now on I will do my best to keep y’all informed about old socks, runny noses and my neighbours annoying tot ;)

studiVZ

StudiVZ“, our young facebook-clone, currently suffers from a renewed attack on its database. However, the founders of the platform probably won´t care much about the trouble, having sold all rights to the “Holtzbrinck” publishing company.

My respect goes to the founders, with their motto going like: take the money, and ruuuuuuuuun (:
